About Goodhands Apps

Goodhands Apps is a small independent app studio. We make focused Android apps for everyday work, built so that what you enter stays on your phone.

What we make

Our first app is Goodhands Tip Tracker, a free Android app for US servers and bartenders. You type one line per shift and it works out tips kept, tip-outs and your real hourly pay, and keeps a daily tip record that is ready for tax time. It works in English and Spanish. There is no account, no cloud and no ads; the app stores everything on the phone.

Goodhands Tip Tracker is in early access on Android. A public Google Play listing is planned.

How we build

• Your data stays on your phone. No sign-up. Nothing you enter is sent to our servers.
• Plain words in. Write a shift the way you would text a friend; the app turns it into clean records you can check and fix.
• Pay once, if at all. Core features are free. Extras are a one-time purchase through Google Play, never a subscription.

The guides

Alongside the app we publish guides for tipped workers in English and Spanish: how to track tips, tip-out percentages, tipped minimum wage by state, and the records the IRS expects. Every figure links to its primary source (IRS, Department of Labor, state labor departments), and each guide shows the date it was last checked. The guides describe public information. They are not tax or legal advice, and Goodhands is not affiliated with the IRS or any government agency.
